At CES 2026, many new AI gadgets were showcased, including wearables and pet technology. One product that stood out combines both an AI-powered smart collar designed especially for dogs.
A pet technology startup called Satellai has introduced a new smart dog collar called Satellai Collar Go, along with its new software platform, Petsense AI. The company is known for using artificial intelligence to understand pet behavior, and this new product takes that idea further.
The collar collects different types of data about your dog, such as location, movement, sleep patterns, and body temperature. Petsense AI then analyzes this information to give insights into your dog’s overall health and daily routine. Instead of only showing simple data like step counts, the goal is to detect small changes in behavior that could signal health problems early.
Satellai says the companion mobile app doesn’t overwhelm owners with charts or numbers. Instead, it turns the data into easy-to-understand updates about your dog’s well-being. Over time, the system aims to build a “digital twin” of your dog by learning from its breed, age, habits, and past behavior. This could help pet owners notice potential issues sooner and have better discussions with veterinarians.
Health tracking isn’t the only feature. Like many modern pet collars, the Satellai Collar Go also includes GPS tracking and geofencing, which helps owners keep track of their dogs when they’re off-leash or moving around large areas. The collar is designed to be strong, water-resistant, and has a battery life of up to 15 days, reducing the need for frequent charging.
Satellai previously launched its first dog collar and tracker at CES 2025. What makes this new version different is its focus on prediction. The company describes the collar as a proactive tool that can spot small behavior changes before they turn into serious health issues. While this idea is promising, its real success will depend on how well the AI works for different dogs in real-life situations.
Currently, the collar is only available for dogs, but the company has hinted that cat support may come in the future. The Petsense AI software will be provided as a free update to existing Satellai devices and will come built into the new Collar Go.
The Satellai Collar Go is available for preorder at a price of $79, with a 15% launch discount, bringing it down to $67. This places it in the mid-range price category, making it accessible to regular pet owners, not just tech enthusiasts.
To unlock all features, including health tracking, activity monitoring, and support for multiple dogs, users need a subscription. The plans cost $12 per month for six months, $9 per month for one year or $6 per month for two years.
At CES, where “AI-powered” products sometimes feel more like marketing buzz than real innovation, this smart collar offers a more thoughtful approach to pet care. While many of its claims still need real-world testing, it highlights an important question for the future of pet tech: it’s not just about collecting more data but about making that data truly useful.
This is the challenge Satellai’s new collar is trying to solve.
